Avatrol - Alternative Therapy for Hemorrhoid Management

Tired of Hemorrhoid Irritation?

Learn how supplements can help REDUCE the discomfort caused by Hemorrhoids.

Hemorrhoids are protrusions in the vascular network beneath the anal canal.

In healthy person, the tissue surrounding the anus, or "anal cushion," fills with blood to help regulate the elimination of waste materials from the body (i.e. bowel movements).

When excessive pressure, or other factors, cause the veins within the "cushions" to become inflamed and stretch, hemorrhoids are the result.

WHAT can help?

The following publications have reported how supplements (like the supplements included in our Avatrol Formula) help with hemorrhoids:

Bioflavonoids are a type of plant compound that are thought to work by stabilizing and strengthening blood vessel walls and by decreasing inflammation.

They have been found to reduce anal discomfort, pain, and anal discharge during an acute hemorrhoid attack. [Full Article]

Horse chestnut seeds, leaves, bark, and flowers have been used for a variety of conditions and diseases. The seed extract has been used to help with hemorrhoids. [Full Article]

USES: Horse chestnut has been used for swelling and pain due to varicose veins and chronic circulation problems.
It has also been used for reducing the swelling of hemorrhoids or veins (phlebitis). [Full Article]
Bilberry extract, or Vaccinium myrtillus, is a potent flavonoid that protects and maintains venous strength and function.

Bilberry extract may be helpful in the treatment of hemorrhoids. [Full Article]

Q. A reader recently reported using zinc oxide to treat hemorrhoid symptoms. I just wanted you to know that I have been using zinc oxide for this purpose for years. I thought no one else knew about it!

It’s something I just tried on my own after little or no relief from such ointments as Preparation H. Zinc oxide provides almost instant relief. I told my doctor years ago, but she had never heard of using zinc oxide for hemorrhoids.

A. Zinc oxide appears to be a safe, inexpensive alternative to other external hemorrhoid creams. When we looked for it at the drugstore, we found it sold as a diaper-rash cream. [Full Article]

WHO Gets Hemorrhoids?

What Type of Hemorrhoids Do You Have?

There are three classifications of hemorrhoids, either of the External, Internal, or Prolapsed variety.

External hemorrhoids refers to a swelling under the skin around the anus. Conversely, Internal hemorrhoids refers to a swelling inside the anus.

Internal hemorrhoids are categorized in degrees of severity. For example; the first, second, third, or fourth degree. Internal and External hemorrhoids can occur simultaneously. Prolapsed hemorrhoids occur when an internal hemorrhoid protrudes outside of the anus.

Signs and Symptoms:

The signs and symptoms of hemorrhoids vary from person to person, and are dependant upon the classification of hemorrhoid. Keep in mind that the signs and symptoms listed below may be an indicator of a more severe, underlying deficiency.

External Hemorrhoids: Itching, Burning, and Irritation are common. Streaks of blood may also appear on toilet paper after straining during bowel movements.

You may also find it difficult to thoroughly cleanse the anal area.

Internal Hemorrhoids: Rectal Bleeding and pain are regularly complained about. Internal hemorrhoids can be extremely painful, as they often protrude and can become thrombosed, or clotted. Mucus is also another indicator of Internal hemorrhoids, as is blood upon your stools or in the toilet.

Causes and Risk Factors:

A variety of reasons contributed to one developing hemorrhoid. Potential sources, or causes, of hemorrhoids include;

  • Age
  • Pregnancy
  • Chronic constipation
  • Fecal straining
  • Liver disease
  • Cirrhosis of the liver
  • Heart disorders
  • Congestive disorders
  • Straining during bowel movements
  • Overuse of laxatives

HOW Do I Relieve My Symptoms?

Conventional Treatments:

Standard treatment approaches for hemorrhoids involve several options: supplements, prescriptions, surgical procedures.

However, mild hemorrhoids can be treated by employing simple changes to diet and bowel habits. Most cases do not require surgery or specialized treatments, unless they have become extremely painful.

Sclerotherapy: A chemical solution is injected around the hemorrhoid. The objective of sclerotherapy is to limit blood supply to the hemorrhoid, until the condition subsides and/or the hemorrhoid shrinks.

The remaining scar tissue that has formed (resulting from the lack of blood supply and shrinkage of the hemorrhoid) minimizes the recurrence of the condition by supporting surrounding anal tissues.

Rubber-band Ligation: This is an outpatient procedure that is relatively nontraumatic.

During the treatment a rubber-band is placed around the base of the hemorrhoid inside the rectum. Like sclerotherapy, the band cuts off circulation and causes the hemorrhoid to whither away within a number of days. More than one session may be necessary.

Infrared light: During this procedure, bursts of infrared light are used to inhibit blood circulation to small, bleeding, internal hemorrhoids.

Hemorrhoidectomy: This refers to the actual excision of the hemorrhoids and subsequent restructuring of any affected rectal mucosa. It is usually the last option and is only used if all other treatment options have failed.

It can be done on either an inpatient or outpatient setting, and requires anesthesia.

Alternative Treatment - Avatrol:

Avatrol contains a synergistic blend of all-natural ingredients that promote circulatory and gastrointestinal health. Here are just a few of the ingredients that help reduce hemorrhoids:

Horse Chestnut

Horse chestnut has been used for swelling and pain due to varicose veins and chronic circulation problems.

It has also been used for reducing the swelling of hemorrhoids.

Citrus Bioflavonoids

Several botanical extracts have been shown to improve microcirculation, capillary flow, and vascular tone, and to strengthen the connective tissue of the perivascular amorphous substrate.

Oral supplementation with bioflavonoids may prevent time-consuming, painful, and expensive complications of varicose veins and hemorrhoids.

Oat Straw

Oats can be helpful for high blood pressure, obesity, varicose veins, and hemorrhoids.

Oat fiber produces bulkier stools and speeds their passage through the gut, reducing the exposure of the gut lining to irritants and carcinogens.

Bilberry

Bilberry is recommended for managing varicose veins and hemorrhoids, and rebuilding healthy connective tissue.

In a 4-week, double-blind, placebo-controlled study of 40 people with hemorrhoids, oral use of bilberry extract significantly reduced hemorrhoid symptoms as compared to placebo.

My hemorrhoids started bleeding again at the start of this year, less than seven months after my last operation. I decided to order Avatrol. It took six weeks to stop the bleeding and I now take it every day. No more bleeding or operations. Thanks very much!!
